Right from the start, the objective for Santa Damiana's EMS blend was to produce a taste that was slightly fuller-bodied than you would expect from a typical Dominican Republic cigar. To this end only the leaves from the upper sections of Dominican Olor and Piloto plants were chosen for the fillers, which were matched with a comparatively dark selection of Connecticut wrapper leaves.
